$500,000 will ensure that many more babies with cerebral palsy (brain injury) could come off the 3 year waiting list to attend the unique CPEC learning programs and become more physically independent (e.g. to stand, to step and to walk) and possibly do the 3km walk. Some of our children might have challenges speaking, but on the day they can use their communication books to say, "I finished my own mini marathon".
CPEC has 108 young children who attend day and after school programs. CPEC also provides Education & Training Courses across Australia for teachers and therapists who work with children who have cerebral palsy.
CPEC will fully refund your registration fee! All you need to do is raise $500 for CPEC through a fundraising webpage. Once you have raised $500, contact CPEC for your Refund Form. Just email melbournemarathon@cpec.org.au. If you donate the refund back to CPEC you can claim it as a tax deduction.
It's easy... following the steps on the link below to make it happen in just a few minutes.
When it's done, simply email your friends, family and work colleagues for them to sponsor you to help raise funds so our kids can be more mobile and communicate better. NO chasing up pledges! NO receipts to write! Donors automatically receive their receipt by email within seconds of donating.
Once you set up your Fundraising page for CPEC you will receive – FREE CPEC Team Singlet/t-shirt and The Coffee Club Reward Card to use anywhere in Victoria which includes free coffee, free meals and fantastic discounts.
Every runner/walker who raises more than $500 for CPEC will receive a Purchase Voucher to the value of $75 off asics footwear purchased from any Active Feet store in Melbourne plus another $25 off, compliments of Active Feet.
Every $500 you raise will entitle you to one ticket to go in the draw for one of THREE Flight Centre vouchers each valued at $1,000 or one of FIVE dozen bottles of selected Buller Wines.

CPEC are providing 200 volunteers to support the runners again this year. Since 2007 the CPEC families and friends have provided nearly 1200 volunteers for the Melbourne Marathon to support and encourage all of the runners and walkers in and around the MCG area.
CPEC families and their friends will be there again this year as volunteers for the benefit of all the runners and walkers starting at 5.00am and finishing at 3.00pm. Why not reciprocate CPEC support to the event by setting up a fundraising page to help their kids, families and staff?
