Chain Reaction is the Ultimate Corporate Bike Challenge that raises money for sick or disabled children by challenging senior executives who have a passion for cycling and an awareness of their corporate and social responsibilities, to ride a 1,000 plus kilometre course in 6 to 7 days. Chain Reaction is not a mass-participation event; instead it concentrates on selected individuals who want the physical challenge. In return, they benefit from a valuable networking opportunities and the immense satisfaction of directly helping less fortunate children.
Since its first ride in 2007 Chain Reaction has raised over $4.4 million on behalf of its charity partners. In 2009 CPEC received $220,000 from the Tasmanian ride to build the Education and Training wing and also received an additional $100,00 in 2010 to continue funding the resources needed for the new building. Garry Prigg the CPEC CEO was asked by Chain Reaction to be the Off Bike Coordinator to manage this event from Port Macquarie to Noosa.
In 2011 Chain Reaction made another donation of $50,000.00 to CPEC in recognition of the support from CPEC for the Campbelltown (NSW) to Melbourne ride in March where Garry Prigg was the Off Bike Director and greatly assisted by Mark Parfuss, a CPEC father and Board member, and for Garry again being the Off Bike Director to manage the Queensland Chain Reaction event in May from Foster (NSW) to Brisbane.

Troy Upfield CPEC Equiptment & Training Aids Fundraising Coordinator and CPEC father was the introductory link into Chain Reaction which opened the door for the Chain Reaction and CPEC partnership to occur. Troy along with Garry went as volunteers to Tasmania. So inspired was he after that, that he then personally trained and then rode the Port Macquarie to Noosa event in 2010 and in 2011 led the Goldman Sachs Team from Campbelltown to Melbourne. He then backed up again in May to ride the Forster to Brisbane event with the Queensland Chain Reaction team.

CPEC thank Chain Reaction for their great support. What they have invested in CPEC will expand the services to change the lives of children around the world.
