2011 Bank of Melbourne Marathon - a fantastic effort!

On Sunday 9 October the CPEC kids, along with their families and CPEC fundraisers, took part in the 2011 Bank of Melbourne Marathon.

The CPEC Team ran or walked across all the events and many of the CPEC kids walked without their walkers for a good part if not all of the 3km event. A fantastic effort.

CPEC are the “official charity” of the Melbourne Marathon and the funds raised each year by our amazing fundraisers go towards keeping our Centre going so more children can access our world class services. Thank you to all our magnificent fundraisers who have helped us raise over $200,000 so far.

As part of being the Official charity we have to supply over 200 volunteers to help manage the event. Without the volunteers giving up their time we would not be able to qualify each year as the “official charity.” CPEC volunteers have been given the big thumbs up by all the 27,000 runners of the event as they do such a wonderful job.
