Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week
Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week was filled with lots of events for both big kids and little kids alike.
On Monday August 1, 30 of our parents and Melbourne Marathon fundraisers went along to watch the 7PM Project which was good fun.

On Tuesday 2 August the CPEC families with some of the Melbourne Marathon fundraisers went along to be part of the audience at The Circle on channel 10. We all had a fantastic time with the girls on the couch welcoming us and putting a photo of our marathon team up and telling everyone around Australia how wonderful the therapist at CPEC are. We all stood out in our blue CPEC T-shirts and we got lots of TV time.

On Wednesday 3 August, it was the CPEC kids turn to celebrate at our annual CP Awareness Week Morning Tea. With the Hawthorn Footy players in attendance, Jarrod Roughead, Issac Smith and Michael Osborne the kids were kept busy getting their Melbourne Marathon T-shirts signed as well as having their photos taken with the players.
We were very lucky to have Steve Moneghetti as our key note speaker who do a great speech on preparing for a marathon being somewhat similar to what the kids prepare for each day.
We thank the Coffee Club in Prahran for once again hosting the event and providing us with lovely cakes and muffins too.

On Thursday 4 August, another group of parents and Melbourne Marathon fundraisers went in to The Circle and we had a wonderful time again. This time we had one of our kids Austin Reid as part of a story on CPEC and his mother Kimberley as the lucky Make Over Mum on the show.
Kimberley was very courageous telling Austin's story as well getting a total make over. She looked amazing when she came out and everyone in the audience cheered very loudly as she glided around the floor showing off her new look.
Jason, Kimberley's husband shed a couple of proud tears and shared Austin's success with the whole CPEC Team and Families.
Well done to the Reid Family.
