Fundraising on the Kokoda Trail

John Mutton was one of CPEC's fundraisers during the 2011 Melbourne Marathon, and, after visiting our Centre, has now been inspired to raise money for us as part of his plan to trek the Kokoda Trail in May this year.

“We all do things every day that we have come to take for granted," he said after his visit. "Thirty minutes with Zara, Austin, Ellie and Phoenix and their wonderfully committed families, who make sacrifices every day, has reminded me how lucky I am… I am hoping this [trek] will give me some insight into what our diggers experienced and I have decided to use this opportunity to raise money for CPEC.”

John started with an ambitious target of $20,000, but as of mid-February, he has raised just over $40,000 through his fundraising page and other avenues, which is a amazing effort.

Please support him – his generosity and commitment to helping the children at CPEC is inspirational to us all.
