Peking to Paris

The Peking to Paris night on Friday 29th July was an overwhelming success. Held at the Capital Theatre in Melbourne, car enthusiasts and those interested in "The original Amazing Race" turned up to hear from 10 teams who took part in the 2010 Peking to Paris Rally.

Pre show drinks were enjoyed by all and we thank both Buller Wines and Fat Yak Beer for their generous sponsorship.

The show started with a bang courtesy of wonderful MC Don Kinsey and culminated in hearing from the oldest competitor in the race and the winner Mr Gerry Crowne who brought along the winners cup.

CPEC would like to say a very big Thank you to Rhys Timms who organised the night which was a huge undertaking. Communicating and organising the 10 teams to come, the fantastic footage, the programs, silent auction items and fundraising for CPEC was a huge personal effort.

Everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed the night and said it was a great night out hearing about the Australian ingenuity, humour, spirit and team work.

Twenty thousand dollars was raised for CPEC during Rhys's Peking to Paris campaign.
