The pair conquered the Kokoka trail, carrying their own backpacks of course, completed the Murray Marathon and have faced many challengers in their combined 35 years of policing. Tthe Force Response Unit members face their biggest challenge yet, kayaking the 330 kilometres across the Bass Strait from Victoria to Tasmania. And behind the paddle is a very worthy cause, they are kayaking for 3-year-old cerebral palsy sufferer Tyler Parfuss, a family friend of Ldg Sen Const Jenkinson. “We are both always up for a challenge and we think this one has a great cause behind it,” Ldg Sen Const Jenkinson “We hope to raise both awareness and funds for the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre by doing this paddle, we’re doing this for Tyler.” Friends and family will be tracking the pair online at http://www.everydayhero.com.au/tassie_for_tyler.
