Melissa W

Melissa is the most talkative of the OT team, and has been since starting at CPEC in 2017. Melissa graduated from LaTrobe University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy Practise after starting her journey at CPEC during school work experience in 2008. Melissa’s favourite thing about being an OT is supporting the child to see that they can be in control of their world, and problem solving all the ways this is possible.

Melissa is incredibly passionate about supporting access to communication and technology, and finding ways that all children can be independent. Melissa is trained in Home Modifications, Learn to Play and Hartley Knows Handwriting programs.

Melissa is a natural “water baby” and likes to spend the warmer months at the beach or river water-skiing, and during Winter, Melissa is often spotted at CPEC sporting a new injury from running.
