Kimberley

Speech Pathologist

Kim is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a senior speech pathologist at CPEC, where she works both as a clinician and a mentor. Kim feels privileged to empower individuals and families throughout their AAC journey. She loves to see children's personalities shine through as they work towards communicating autonomously!

Kim has a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University. Kim is a Certified PODD Presenter, a PROMPT Trained therapist, completed training in the administration of the ROCC (Roadmap of Communicative Competence) Assessment Tool, Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Trauma Informed Practice, The Hanen Program: Learning Language and Loving it, and has completed the Introductory Intensive Seminar on Literacy in AAC.

Kim has experience working in a specialist school setting where she learnt the importance of working collaboratively with school teams, families and allied health professionals. She has since developed her passion for working alongside individuals with complex communication needs across the lifespan to advocate for greater communication accessibility.

Kim’s guilty pleasure is collecting indoor plants. In her spare time, she also enjoys sewing and going for leisurely swims!
